Memory Bank

Memory Bank (working title) aims to capture and record the current state of Blythe House, the home of the Science Museum, British Museum and V&A's archives, as a testament to the incredible place it is and the central role it has played in not only safely storing national treasures, but also inspiring the next generation. The project combines several methods to do this, creating a multi-faceted exploration of not only the building as it is now, but also incorporating its rich history, the objects it protects and the people who look after them. Part architectural record, part documentary project; part archival exploration, part people’s history, Memory Bank weaves individual narratives together to present the story of a single building and its evolving relationship to people, culture and heritage.
